Who We Are

Fellowship of Life Church exists to honor and glorify God by obeying Jesus' command to make disciples of all people groups (Matthew 28:18-20), locally and beyond.

We accomplish this through our Mission, Vision and Core Values.

Our Mission:

  • Reaching Cheshire and beyond with the good news that Jesus saves (Luke 15, 19:10)
  • Teaching believers through the Bible how to love God and love their neighbors as themselves (Col. 1:28; Matthew 22:37-40)
  • Sending those believers back out into the world to share with others the story of how Jesus saved them (Rom. 10:13-15; Acts 1:8)
  • To fulfill the purpose of God to become the living Body of Christ in the earth and that as His is, so are we in this world. We are His Temple, Body, Army, Family and Bride.

Our Vision:

We are committed to seeing every member perfected in love and equipped to minister to one another and to the lost until we reach the full measure of the stature of Christ (Ephesians 4:13). This will be accomplished through the gifts of the fivefold ministry and every member releasing the gifts of the Holy Spirit through sound teaching. We further intend to multiply our ministry by becoming a teaching and training center for our people and other churches, and by networking with other churches and ministries.

Our Core Values:

These Values guide our behavior with each other in the fulfilling of the mission and vision of the Body. Thus, they either sanction or prohibit behaviors. They are not a list of "dos and don'ts", but are rather a list of intrinsic values that flow naturally out of us as we express the character of Christ that is being developed within us by the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit.

A commitment to the awareness that our brothers and sisters are made in the image of God, and through Christ that image will manifest God's glory as we remember that we individually and corporately are the dwelling place of God in the earth.

A commitment to dependence upon the Holy Spirit in every aspect of life and to rely upon His leading and His power while avoiding grieving or quenching Him.

A commitment to depend upon the Word of our Lord -- a lamp unto our feet -- that we all might be thoroughly equipped and trained in righteousness and in holiness.

A commitment to serve one another with our gifts, offices, talents and lives, and to do so with humility and excellence as we would like others to do unto us. Thus, all ministry will be absent of self-seeking.

A commitment to prayer in all things, as it is the engine that drives our lives. We begin and continue every activity with prayer until its conclusion.

A commitment to develop an environment of permission that allows people to minister consistent with our mission and vision, and to do so with responsibility and accountability while also allowing the freedom to "fail" and still be loved.

A commitment to maintain a teachable, humble and correctable spirit, and thus avoid the pitfalls of pride. This includes critical evaluation of our mission so as to be concerned with its accomplishment and not holding to a tradition.

A commitment to live with a generous, giving and yielding spirit, always promoting the principle that it is better to give than to receive.

A commitment to growth and multiplication as a natural expression of Christ's life force in us and not through numerical demands or expressions.
