Three Things Those Who Feel They Are In A Valley Can Do
This word from the Lord came to Pastor Greg during
our worship time.
"Just before our worship time started I was praying to
God and talking to Him about the church and how much He
loves it, and there were several prophetic words that He
gave me to say to you.
He said I know that many of My children are waiting and
that they feel like they are in a valley, in a deep
valley. But there are three things that He wants
you to do while you are in the valley and three things
you can do when you are in the valley.
The first thing is
you can worship God.
You can still worship Him. That's why this song,
Desert Song, we just sang is so empowered. This
song is empowered not by us but by the Holy Spirit.
The reason that we get into it is because of the joining
of the Spirit. The Spirit is in the song.
The Holy Ghost is in this song so that He picks you up
and carries you with it. Worship is an attitude.
It is not just a declaration of the mouth. You
cannot say things with your mouth that are not true in
your heart. That's hypocrisy. We don't do
that. I love to say I love God but God wants us to
behave. He wants us to act it out so that if we
are going to worship Him then our lives are going to
begin to display that we can worship Him. We are
going to express it to Him, not just in song, not just
in kind of an attitude of I love you Lord, but in
devotion to Him in all of our behavior. So you can
worship in attitude and in spirit. God is always
looking for people who worship Him in spirit.
You may not with your emotions feel like you are up to
it, but just as the Holy Ghost grabbed that song and
moved you, you will be up to it if you connect the wind
of the Spirit with your life and you will move with it
because worship is something that comes out of the heart
of God. Everything in heaven is worshipping Him
right now. Everything, the cherubim are just
constantly singing glory unto the Lord so that when the
Holy Ghost comes upon you and you can call Him into your
life, He will lift you and you can worship.
I know some of us are in a valley situation but valleys
were made for God and you. You cannot live in the
mountaintop all the time. You wouldn't enjoy the
mountaintop as much if you didn't come up from the
valley. The view is not as good until you climb,
until you ascend, until you have an overcoming life.
So number one you must have a worshipping spirit before
God even when it hurts; even when everything in you is
contrary. There is something that comes from the
throne of God that will lift you and allow you to
worship Him and there will be a change in you.
The second thing you
must learn to do when you are in a valley is to walk
with God. You
cannot toddle off and you cannot wander away. A
lot of us have trouble staying the course with God when
things are not turning out the way we want them.
We've been waiting, wondering and just thinking oh well,
you know God isn't going to do it and we begin to change
our minds and we stop walking with God. You can
never stop walking with God. If you stop walking
and wander and toddle off you miss the greatest
opportunities for victory that you can ever imagine.
Your victory is in your connection with the Lord.
Don't wander off from Him. Don't stop.
There was a word that came to me for a sweet sister in
this church and I said to her the enemy wants you to
commit spiritual suicide. He wants that of all of
us so that we do something that destroys the connection
with our Lord to give up in our spiritual relationship;
our faith with Him. We are not going to do that.
The first thing is you are going to worship God.
The second thing is you are going to walk with God
because as long as you are walking with God the outcome
is going to be good.
The third thing you
must do is you must continue to work.
You cannot give up your
life's purpose, your call, your ministry, your service,
your devotion to God and to His people. When you
give up your service to God you are saying I will not
serve you unless. You cannot make conditions with
God that way. This is so important. Forgive
me but I have not known many years where I have not
served God out of my own pain. Serving God lifts
you out of your self-centeredness. It gives you
purpose for living. It gives you reason. It
sets you on the course of destiny again. It
enables you to recognize there is blessing in your life
to others that God has deposited. You end up
seeing, maybe not always because sometimes it is so hard
to see the fruit of your labor and in some respects I
say don't look for it. Just do the right things.
Don't say to God well, when You come through or when
things get better or when I feel better or after I get
through this trial then I will work for You. Let
me tell you, there will be something else that will come
right after this one. If it doesn't come, there is
something wrong because we threaten the devil.
He's not harassing us, we are harassing him.
That's why he acts the way he does. So I want you
to remember those three things. (1) You are
going to worship God in all times, in every season.
He is still God and you have a reason to worship.
(2) You are going to walk with Him. You will not
separate your life from Him. You will continue
faithfully with Him. Who else do you want to walk
with in the valley, yourself? (3) You will work
with Him. You will not give up the works of God in
your life.
The other thing that God told me came from a time of
prayer yesterday morning where He wanted me to share
this with you and He said to tell His people are you not
more valuable, more worthy than all of my creation?
All of the birds, all of the animals, all of the oceans,
all of the mountains, everything He has created.
He said remind them in Matthew 6:25-27 that I said I
will take care of you because you are more worthy than
all of my creation. So you have to put your heart
in alignment with what God said about you. That
means He will supply your every need. If He will
clothe the fields with flowers and Solomon with robes,
will He not take care of you in your work, in your home,
in your business, in your wallet, in every way?
You, why? Because to God you are so valuable.
He loves you that much. So, I just want you to put
your faith in that. Praise His Holy Name. He
wants to life you out of that valley if you will walk
with Him, if you worship with Him, and if you will work
with Him. Just let Him do that to you.
Praise His Holy Name.
You will develop a season, a time where you will come
into worshipping God in your pain. There is
therapy and healing in that like you have never known.
He will bring healing to you. He will lift your
emotions, your spirit so much. You'll just put on
some music, worship Him or even if you don't like to use
music just talk to Him and just declare His goodness to
Him and let the Holy Spirit, like He brought anointing
upon the song, bring anointing to you to worship.
There is one thing that every one of us can do and that
is worship God. We were made to worship Him.
Amen! Bless your hearts and rejoice in Him.
He cares so much for you. He constantly sends His
word to bring healing to you and deliverance. He
declares His love to us in so many ways. We cannot
count the ways. So just thank Him right now in
Jesus' Holy Name. Thank the Lord. Bless
Him. Bless Him for His goodness to you.
Bless Him. God will take you through whatever it
is that you are in right now. Just walk with Him.
Worship Him. Bless your Holy Name God and all of
your saints said Amen!"
